Yuval Bar sanctioned for violating IPF Constitution Rule 14.9 (23/06/08)
One of Australia's top Bench Pressers, Mr. Yuval Bar, has been suspended for one year on the basis of a violation of the IPF Constitution 14.9 by virtue of participation at the "Pro King of the Bench" event held in Melbourne on March 8th, 2008. This event in which Mr. Bar competed violates IPF rules by not being an organised, sanctioned or approved Powerlifting event held by the IPF.

14.9 Participating in Non-IPF Competition
Any lifter, coach, referee or official who competes or participates in an international Powerlifting or Bench Press competition not organised, sanctioned or approved by the IPF shall not be permitted to take part in any IPF international or regional competition for a period of 12 months from the date of that non-approved competition.
